Editorial Responsibilities

The Editorial Board reviews all manuscripts based on their scientific quality, originality, and relevance to medical and public health research. Decisions are taken impartially and without any bias.

The editors keep all submitted manuscripts confidential and do not share information with anyone outside the review process.

The journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure ethical publication practices.

Any case of plagiarism, data falsification, or unethical conduct will result in the paper being rejected or withdrawn.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must submit original work and properly cite sources to avoid plagiarism.

Any kind of data manipulation or incorrect information is not allowed.

All authors must make genuine contributions to the research and approve the final manuscript.

Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and list any funding sources.

For clinical studies, authors must have ethical approval and informed consent from participants.

If errors are found after publication, authors must notify the journal for correction or retraction.

Peer Review Process

EMPH uses a single-blind peer review process, which means reviewers remain anonymous, but authors' names are known.

Reviewers provide honest and constructive feedback and must disclose any conflicts of interest.

Papers with plagiarism, incorrect data, or ethical issues will be rejected or withdrawn.

Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher ensures that all ethical policies are strictly followed and that the journal remains transparent and credible.

If ethical misconduct occurs, the journal will investigate and take necessary actions, including issuing corrections or retractions.

The journal follows best practices outlined by ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and WAME (World Association of Medical Editors).

Plagiarism and ethical misconduct

The journal checks all submissions with plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate) to ensure originality.

Any plagiarism, duplicate publications, or incorrect data will lead to rejection or retraction.

Authors and reviewers involved in serious ethical violations may be permanently banned from the journal.

Conflict of interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must declare any personal, financial, or professional conflicts of interest that may affect the research, review, or publication process.
